Event Description:

The Healthy Business Certification course introduces employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with their work.  This 3 hour training is designed for any worker that wants to acquire knowledge on workplace health and pandemic response.  Full Training Brochure- click here

At the completion of this course and after submission of your business’ procedures, a Healthy Business Certification will be issued by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  Attendance throughout entire session is required.

Participants will become familiar with the standards and regulations that OSHA, the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have set in place to make sure all employees function in a healthy work environment.

  • Understand how to develop a step-by-step Healthy Workplace Environment Guide

  • Learn best cleaning and disinfection procedures

  • Review on-site health screening procedures

  • Determine Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

  • Discuss social distancing strategies

  • Understand protocols for isolating employees who become ill at work


The training is for essential and non essential business.

Certification will be renewed annually.  This course certifies through April 2021.
