Designed exclusively for current and future members of your internal auditing teams this three-day workshop will give participants the knowledge and skills needed to audit your quality system to the IATF 16949:2016 standard.
Course topics include IATF 16949:2016 requirements, quality core tools, customer- specific requirements, auditing principles, and techniques for conducting effective audits. Participants will also get hands-on practice using auditing tools and techniques to:
- develop practical audit skills,
- enhance evaluation and communication skills,
- refine reporting skills, and;
- implement corrective action programs.
What is IATF 16949:2016?
The primary focus of the IATF 16949 standard is the development of a Quality Management System that provides for continual improvement while emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. The standard, combined with applicable Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR’s), defines the QMS requirements for automotive production, service and/or accessory parts.
Objectives
- Explain the purposes of the IATF 16949:2016 standard.
- Describe the IATF 16949:2016 structure and elements.
- List the quality core tools and the purpose of each.
- Explain customer specific requirements and their function.
- Explain what is meant by a "process approach" and what the strategy of a process approach means for organizations.
- Explain basic principles, techniques, and steps for auditing to IATF 16949.
- Describe techniques for effectively working with others when conducting audits.
- Apply IATF 16949:2016 principles and auditing techniques to practice auditing to the IATF 16949 standard requirements.
This course meets all OEM Customer Specific requirements for Internal Auditor Training. Participants will be provided a copy of the IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems Requirements for training purposes only. All copies must be returned to UT CIS instructor at the conclusion of class.
